Alban Cottage on the French River

The owners of this cottage have gone to great lengths to make it an extremely comfortable and well equipped vacation home. The open concept cottage features a great kitchen with a centre island breakfast bar as well as all the appliances and equipment needed to cook up a storm. A wall of windows gives a superb view of the waterfront from both the dining area and large lounge and feature vaulted ceilings, wainscotting and exposed beams.

The cottage boasts a wealth of indoor activities from the 36” TV and entertainment system to the large selection of CD’s and movies, board games and books. There’s even internet access for those who just must keep in contact with the outside world.

The two bedrooms have new beds and feather duvets for the sweetest of dreams, whilst the knotty pine panelled bunkie will be a great hit with the kids.

Outside, there’s a good sized deck overlooking the extensive lawned garden just right for ball games, and a fire pit for enjoying the starry nights. The sandy shoreline offers a safe walkout for children and the swimming is good. The new dock is great for enjoying the view at any time of day.

Designated a Canadian Heritage River and a route travelled by French explorers and fur traders, French River is also renowned for fishing, with muskie, pike, pickerel, bass, trout, whitefish and catfish. There are a whole range of activities nearby with 3 golf courses, canoe tours, kayaking and horseback riding.
