Bass Lake Cottage on Bass Lake

If you don't want to be too isolated then this could be a great choice. Between bustling lakeside Orillia, and the Georgian Bay town of Midland, is Bass Lake. The cottage is outstandingly well equipped, bedrooms beautifully decorated, and with the lake just across the road, is a little stunner.

Bass Lake Provincial Park is just up the road for hiking, cycling and checking out the wildlife. Or take to the water for a bit of peaceful paddling.

You'll want to explore the area while you are here and there sure is plenty to do, from checking out the longest freshwater beach in the world at Wasaga, to visiting the historic sites at Midland.  And, its just off the main route up from Toronto which makes it an easy trip back into the city if you need a culture or shopping fix!
