The interior of the cottage shows that this
is a lovingly kept home and one that the owners take great
pride in. Across the front of the house facing the lake are
the sun room, dining area, kitchen and study, with wonderful
views of the gardens and lake from each. There is a bay window
with two chairs just right for wildlife and water watching.
The kitchen is a joy for anyone tasked with cooking with
a good sized island preparation unit and a range of up to
date appliances. Dining can be a convivial occasion at the
harvest table, in the sun room, or outside on the wide deck
overlooking the lake. We felt that guests would be spoilt
for choice in this wonderful cottage.
The lounge is a comfortable haven for those wanting some
peace and quiet, as the television (videos only) and games
room are downstairs. Three bedrooms on the main floor are
spacious and comfortably furnished with two bathrooms, whilst
a fourth bedroom, laundry room and further shower room can
be found on the lower floor. There’s even a traditional
wooden hot tub in it’s own ‘tubroom’ for
relaxing at the end of the day.
Outside, on three acres and 600ft of waterfront, there is
plenty of room for children to play, run and have lots of
fun. Pathways lead to different parts of the garden, one to
the lakefront dock, one to a little bridge over a stream,
and others to quiet hideaways in woodland clearings. In fact,
a large family could find privacy within the privacy!
